Meh

The animation wasn't terrible, but the voice acting was painfully grating. Also it wasn't funny. You can certainly draw, though.

Blakant responds:

Well, I did ask some opinion in BBS, not much ppl bother about em... U could always check the post in BBS to help some of the author whose asking for some help & idea... That might cut down the number of flash project that not ur taste...

TY for the review! :)

Bravo

This film clearly demonstrates your experiential knowledge of life on the streets of suburban Detroit. We, the audience, are fully immersed in the depths of the main character's being as he pursues a career in refrigerator repair.

When he found his wife's head in the freezer in the second scene of act 3 I screamed like a little girl. Thank you for this emotionally moving peice of artwork. It transcends all social morays with its honesty, which is what this world needs today.

MonsterMunchClock responds:

And they say the art of criticism is dead. You sir, are a master of observational wording and a fine asset to both this site and the world we live in.

I don't know how I missed this.

I loved it. It did lag a bit at parts but not enough to screw up the dialogue and it was funny. It's too bad to see you gone, you're a good animator and a nice guy, but it's understandable that you're not pleased with the current climate at .cc. If you're interested, a few of us are putting together a site with more of a focus on getting things done than meaningless discussion. There's a link to it in my most recent news post. It'd be good to have you on board if you've got the time and desire.

Anyway, great job. I'll be keeping track of your future work, clock related or not.

InsulinpumpClock responds:

Well I'm glad you liked the dialog. I figured you would appreciate something like that. From what I know of your movies, you're much more into story then most authors. I really don't want to get involved with any websites at the moment. I am easily distracted when I'm online and am trying to focus on a flash I'm working on. Just another reason to cut ties. Not that they have to be totally severed and not that it's always personal. I can keep in contact with anyone who wishes so. I just need some time.

My wish for the clock crew is that they don't let their egos, their cynicism, their drama or any sort of sardonic condescension between members stop them from creating, looking for new ideas and outlets to express themselves less by posting and more with art.

Hell, to me even drama is a great reason to make a flash. When you look back, things you thought were a big deal, aren't as important as you remembered.

Also I wish I wasn't a nice guy. Or maybe felt more willing to speak my mind on things that sometimes leads to negative attention that I would sooner avoid. I have the utmost respect for those who can tolerate criticism and learn from it. That's something else I hope will continue and grow. Just plan honesty. It seems cold but people who stick around after being ragged on and learn from it are worth the effort. Not all the time but most. Maybe anyone who stuck around does sometimes. And now I'm rambling. O well. Thanks for the review. ;) Good luck!

Your representation of food dyes on laquered felt was magnificent. If more people were informed about this unique art form, the world would be a better place, and the food dye industries would be a great thing to invest in.

As far as the sound goes, I think the goats conversing about monarch butterflies in three part harmony was a beautiful addition. That's some talented voice acting. They really sounded like goats, wow.

MahjongClock responds:

Actually, Foodfelting is an ancient artform. I believe that it was pioneered by rural villagers of the medieval Kingdom of Pamplona.

The goatish sounds wasn't the problem. Llamas are inclined to bleat like goats when fed a carefully balanced diet of buttermilk and jellybeans. The real challenge was getting the animals to sing on pitch. And it was actually a four-part harmony; the blue goat was singing the super-sonic-soprano part... so I guess it's understandable that you didn't hear it.

Thank you for this lovely napkin, by the by.

Twigman responds:

Happy clockday!

Hahahahaha

That was awesome. I love you.

stoners-lunchbox responds:

Wow... Thanks, Albino!

Out of all people i didn't expect positive feedback from, you were one of them!

I'm glad people are liking this over at CC.net, because i put some hard work in this.

If they don't figure it out, can you let them know that i'm the "nooblet" they call "RottenPrune"?

Thanks!

Nothing.

That's what was in this movie.

The graphics were nothing special. You used stick figures, which sucks.

Your style, while it could do with improvment, isn't abysmal. You at least seem to have an understanding of timing, which is important. However, the fact that you used stick figures overshadows this.

The sound was awesome.

Overall, I gave you a 1, and voted 1. While the sound was good, the characters didn't move realisticly, and everything seemed rather static. Maybe having the sun slowly setting, or some clouds that move just a bit would bring it to life. Perhaps you should draw some actual characters, and maybe you should have finished the movie before you submitted it.

Either way, I don't really care. I submit utter shit to NG all the time for fun. Maybe you should take that up.

TheNightFox responds:

Thnx for the great review .
I will take your advice on some of those things you said , but like i said , i might finish this if people like it and give it a good review/rating .
;)

THIS IS NOT FLASH

This movie is not Flash. It's just something you made with The Movies, a sims-esque video game for making movies. Submit your movies made with The Movies to their website, not to flash portals.

If you want to put things on Newgrounds, make flash.

Smon responds:

I put it in a flash file.

So clay movies aren't flash?
Machinimation isn't flash?
Is it against the law?

There is no law! You lose! Good day sir!

uh

Why do you have an account on our forums if you're an anticlock?

SlikRik19 responds:

So I could tell BitClock, when he was the admin, about all the spam you guys put on our forums. Thanks for being the 2000th clock to ask that.
Next time leave a real review.
